Conference Description:
The national "Do Not Call" list is forcing us to reach consumers in new ways with the prearrangement message. Many of these marketing options are expensive and time-consuming, so it is vital that we reach a targeted clientele to achieve sufficient ROI.

"Marketing to Your Target" will share extensive consumer research to help you define your target market and the best channels to reach those consumers within your community. It will show you:

  • the consumer types that may be in your marketplace, and which of those types has a propensity to purchase the preneed product (based on a research study of 10,000 Forethought policyholders);
  • how to use "consumer-centric marketing" to reach out to families in your market using information captured in your database, and how this method can be much more effective than using a turn-key marketing program; and
  • the need to have an overall value proposition identified in the marketplace so that if consumers are asked what products and services you offer, they would identify both at-need and preneed products and services.
Whether your company performs marketing in house, uses a third-party marketing firm or is considering hiring a third-party firm, you need to fully understand your marketplace and the potential for achieving long-term branding for your company and your products.
