ICFA 2002 Fall Management Conference Speakers
Ann Bastianelli is president of Anthology Consulting. She works with clients to help them effectively integrate and apply consumer research and trends to their specific business needs. She has more than 20 years of experience in leadership and consultant roles for some of the world’s most admired companies and personalities, including Batesville Casket Company, Wilbert Funeral Services, McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, Kraft Foods, Dow Chemical and Franklin-Covey. She is a professor of marketing and lecturer at Indiana University’s nationally acclaimed Kelley School of Business.
Vinnie Faccinto is owner of Crest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Cemetery, Cookeville, Tennessee. He is a former assistant vice president of sales with Service Corporation International and is the former senior vice president of sales for SCI's Southeast Region. Earlier this year, he struck out on his own, purchasing two cemeteries and starting a new funeral home. In addition, he is president of Generations Management, a consulting firm that provides management and sales leadership services to the industry.
Ray Frew, CCFE is president of Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, and has served as a member of that organization's Board of Directors since 1987. He is treasurer of the ICFA and chair of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Convention Planning Committee, the Sales and Marketing Committee, and the Strategic Planning Committee. He has previously served as a member of the Board of Directors. Along with Chris Burke, Ray served as co-chair of the Sales and Marketing Seminar in 2002. In addition to the ICFA, Ray is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) and was the chair for CANA's Annual Convention in Long Beach, California, in August 2001.
Bob Gordon Sr., CCFE, has over 30 years of experience in the industry and is currently owner and general manager of Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He is dean of the ICFA University Executive Management Symposium and is chairman of the association's Certification Committee.
Terry Hemeyer is manager of corporate communications for Service Corporation International in Houston, Texas. He teaches courses on crisis management at Rice University and on media relations at the University of Texas.
Chet Hitt is president of Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Apple Valley, California.
Darren Kelley works for the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Harvey Lapin, Lapin & Associates, is an attorney located in Northbrook, Illinois. He specializes in mortuary, cemetery, tax and corporation law. He is and has been general counsel or special counsel to various national, state and local industry associations. He is licensed as an attorney in Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida, and is registered as a CPA in Illinois.
C. John Linge is president of Cedar Memorial Park Association in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is a licensed funeral director and a certified preplanning consultant, is a past president of the Association of Iowa Cemeteries and a former member of the board of trustees for the American Cemetery-Mortuary Council.
David S. McLeod is an attorney at law for the law firm of Dewey Ballantine LLP in Los Angeles, California.
Gwen Mooney is director of advanced planning for the Jon Deitloff Funeral Centre and previously worked as a preneed sales manager at a funeral home in Dayton, Ohio, and in the sales department at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. Mooney is a licensed funeral director, embalmer and insurance agent. She is a member of the ICFA Sales & Marketing Committee and is a co-chair for the 2003 Sales Mangement & Marketing Conference.
John H. Ringgenberg is vice president & senior relationship nanager for The Private Bank at Bank of America.
Tom Snyder is managing director for Service Corporation International Management Corporation in Houston, Texas. He is president of the Cremation Association of North America.
